Monique Moore
I'm Monique Moore—a Certified Birth Doula, Perinatal Patient Advocate, Childbirth Educator, and Certified Lactation Support Provider. As a mother of 11 who has given birth nine times, I have experienced a wide range of birth environments, including hospital births, a Cesarean, four home births, and a high-risk pregnancy with my precious son, who has Down Syndrome.
I first realized the true impact of birth support during my fifth birth when I had a doula of my own. Feeling supported, heard, and cared for inspired me to serve other women in this capacity. I have spent the last 15 years encouraging and supporting women in various settings, and I am now excited to pivot to a cooperative model of doula care. In this model, clients will join a community of dedicated doulas and fellow parents on their birth journeys.

Kind words:
"I could say so many amazing things about working with Monique! ! As a first time mom, I was looking for someone to support me and encourage me every step of the way as I planned a home birth. From our initial call to our postpartum visit, she made me feel heard and cared for the whole time! Monique is very experienced and will give you a peace of mind about your pregnancy and birth experience. She helped my husband and I work as a team as we prepped for the arrival of our baby girl and helped walk me through my birth plan. After I gave birth, Monique took such good care of us, from cleaning to helping baby latch to making me a meal! I couldn’t recommend her enough!"

Emma Sanchez
I’m a birth doula, wife, and mama to two girls both born at Beginnings Birth Center. With my first baby in 2022, I was lovingly doula’d for a long, three day labor, and afterwards knew that birth work was 100% what I was called to do. Supporting families through the intense and beautiful work of birth quite literally gives me goosebumps of awe. My college degree was in statistics, so I love researching and sharing about evidence based birth, but at the end of the day know that mama’s intuition can’t be beat!! As a Christian, I also love getting to pray and encourage clients who want a faith-based doula. My aim is to always bring a presence of warmth, reverence, and peace to my clients’ births, and would love to support you in the birth you’ve dreamed of.

Kind words:
“I was very nervous about my birth experience, as my 1st child was born under less than ideal circumstances with subpar treatment. For this birth, I knew that I wanted a doula so that I could have someone to help me advocate for myself. Emma was amazing. I had a 24 hr labor. Because of her, everything went absolutely perfect and by the time it was time to push I had zero fear. I double dog dare any woman to tell me they had a better birth experience than I did. From start to finish, my experience with Maranatha was perfect and I'd hire Emma again in a heartbeat."

Leah Boains
As a birth doula, licensed massage therapist, childbirth educator and mother of three, I love the variety each day brings. My excitement for birth was first piqued when I witnessed one of my goats giving birth on my family’s small hobby farm in Massachusetts when I was in high school. Through the births of my own children, I came to realize the invaluable need for labor support and how an empowering or disempowering birth experience can greatly impact a person’s entire life.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature at Gordon College in Massachusetts. I have worked as an editor and veterinary technician over the years. In 2005, I graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe and became a licensed massage therapist, later certifying in prenatal massage. I began supporting birthing families in 2017 and was certified through DONA International. I am also a certified perinatal patient advocate and am passionate about advocating for the needs of families I support.
Kind words:
"Our experience with Leah was absolutely phenomenal! I truly cannot imagine our birth story playing out as beautifully as it did without her by our side advocating for us the entire way. Leah is professional, but also such a supportive friend in the way she interacts. When I began to panic she was there reminding me that I’m safe and in control. Her knowledge of laboring positions was SO helpful for us when it came time to getting our baby in the correct position. Having Leah as our doula was honestly the best decision we could have made when it comes to our controlled decisions. She was amazing, and we plan to use Leah for any future babies we bring into the world!"

Vanessa Stepan
Hi, I’m Vanessa Stepan—childbirth educator, doula, and birth photographer. I’m a believer, Air Force spouse, and mom of three. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll find me at a local coffee shop or skiing and exploring all that Colorado has to offer with my family.
My passion for birth began with the unmedicated birth of my first child and deepened through subsequent unmedicated births—including the homebirth of my third here in Colorado—as well as my journey as a gestational surrogate. I’m passionate about empowering families to have informed and positive birth experiences while also capturing life’s meaningful moments through photography.

Kind words:
“Vanessa was absolutely incredible and the best support I could’ve hoped for during my quick and intense labor. She was the encouragement I wanted, the coach I needed, and a friend that was a wonderful blessing to me during my pregnancy and after birth. All of my family and best friends are hundreds of miles away and Vanessa was so supportive and was always checking in on me. She even made time to grab coffee and go on a walk with me just to chat. It was so nice to have someone really invest in their clients. She was so incredible during my labor and I couldn’t be more grateful to have had such an amazing woman, mom, and doula help me welcome my sweet daughter into this world! Forever thankful for Vanessa and the huge role she played in helping me have the natural birth that I had hoped and prayed for.”

Jamie Dibble
Hi, I’m Jamie, wife to my wonderful husband of over two decades and mom to four. After working as a biomedical engineer, I became a stay-at-home and homeschooling mom, which ultimately led me to birth work. I now support women and families as a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Perinatal Patient Advocate, Holistic Health Coach, and Essential Oil Specialist.
I value working together with families and care providers to create a calm, supported birth experience. I’m naturally drawn to the quieter rhythms of life — reading, crocheting, puzzles, and hiking — and I bring that same steady, peaceful presence into the birth space. I believe deeply in the sacredness of life, viewing each birth as a gift from God. My faith guides me to serve with compassion, grace, and deep respect.

Kind words:
“Jamie was the constant support and encouragement I needed. She was there riding every wave with me, even when I felt like I couldn't go anymore. She is so supportive, attentive to your love language and what your desires for your birth are and is an incredible advocate for you!”

Hannah Stebbins
It is truly an honor and a joy to serve women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Supporting mothers during this sacred and transformative season is not just my work — it is my calling.

My Christian faith is deeply intertwined with my practice. I believe God designed birth as a blessing, and that when a woman is supported, informed, and empowered in her birth, she steps into motherhood with confidence and strength. An empowered birth creates an empowered mother.

I am passionate about understanding the physiology of birth and helping women understand their own unique bodies. When you know how your body was designed to work, fear decreases and confidence grows. I love educating my clients so they can approach birth with clarity, peace, and trust — creating the foundation for a smoother, more supported birth experience.

Kind words:
"Loved having Hannah there at my second baby’s birth! She was a calming presence and helpful at all of the right moments during my labor. She was encouraging emotionally and spiritually as well as providing great physical comfort measures. She is very intentional and caring & we were thankful to have her there at our birth!"

Jennifer Mikolaitis
Born and raised on a farm on the plains of Colorado, my love for pregnancy and birth began as a child watching kittens being born. That experience instilled in me an understanding that living creatures are designed wonderfully with the innate ability to birth new life and my own empowering childbirth experiences reinforced that knowledge. Moving to beautiful Colorado Springs opened new doors to realize my calling as a doula. I feel honored to have the opportunity to help families create birth experiences they will cherish.

Besides my obvious passion for pregnancy and labor, I am a lover of my God, my family, animals, and nature. My greatest joy in life is being a mom of three wonderful children.

Kind words:
"I can’t put into words how much we appreciate Jennifer. She was very available and helpful with any questions during my pregnancy. Jennifer not only stayed with me through the whole 24+ hour labor, but also stayed with me when my husband went with our daughter to the hospital. Jennifer didn’t leave for even a minute and I can’t thank her enough for that. She continued to check in on us throughout our three week stay in the NICU, offering prayers, bringing homemade soup and sourdough and just being the most supportive precious person. She is worth her weight in gold and is just the best person to have with you during, and after, your birth. Thank you for everything, Jennifer! We are forever grateful. "

Sarah Norris
I love coming alongside families and helping them plan and prepare for a positive birthing experience. I've been a birth doula in Colorado Springs since 2014 and have received additional training as a lactation educator, birth center assistant, and as a Stillbirthday bereavement doula. While I have a degree and background in education from Colorado Christian University, I was quickly led into birth work after my own positive birthing experiences and the care that I received from a midwife.
My husband and I are blessed with four daughters and have lived in Colorado Springs for over eighteen years. When I'm not chauffeuring my children around to their various sporting events and activities; we enjoy being outside together with our golden retriever. I love my CrossFit & Ultimate community, bouldering, biking, camping, and taking long roadtrips to visit our extended family in Michigan.

Kind words:
"We had a fantastic experience with Sarah! She is so loving and wise. The entire process made us feel at ease, especially when laboring at home. Sarah knew exactly when we were in each stage of labor and got us to the hospital at the perfect time. The nurses who had worked with her before had so many compliments for her. They were all impressed by her work which made it feel like a positive, cohesive interaction with everyone involved. She advocated for me when needed and made my husband feel involved and confident as well. I was able to have the all-natural/unmedicated birth I was dreaming of thanks to Sarah! If I have more babies, I will definitely be reaching back out!"

Julia Shirin
Hi! I’m Julia Shirin, a Certified Birth Doula, Perinatal Patient Advocate, and Childbirth Educator. I’m also a mom. After eight pregnancies and births of my own, I’ve learned a thing or two about babies, birth, and the beautiful (and sometimes messy) journey of growing a family.
As a doula, I’m not afraid to think outside the box when it comes to comfort in labor. I’m happy to try creative or unconventional comfort measures, roll up my sleeves and get into the thick of things when labor gets intense, and I firmly believe that a little humor can go a long way. Birth is powerful and transformative, but it can also have moments of laughter and lightness—and I love helping families find both strength and joy in the experience.

Kind words:
“Julie is truly an angel sent from heaven. She was with me for both of my pregnancies and births and was such a comfort to me throughout the whole process. The practical advice she gives in pregnancy and during labor is invaluable— I truly don’t know if I could have done it without her! She is so knowledgeable and passionate about empowering moms, coming from many years of experience. With my second pregnancy, the baby was breach position and Julie gave me such great advice for how to flip the baby (which worked!!),
but also sat with me and prayed about whatever outcome was to come. I plan on
having more children and pray, pray, pray she can be there for the next ones! She is so dear to me and my family!”

Amanda York
The births of my four children showed me the power of presence—the quiet touch, a calm word, the steady support that makes all the difference. Those moments, and my faith, guide the way I care for families today.
I walk alongside families through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, offering guidance, encouragement, and calm presence. My heart is to help families feel grounded, supported, and ready to welcome new life, trusting in the strength and wisdom God has given them.

Kind words:
"Amanda was INCREDIBLE all the way through the process. From the time I first reached out to her to learn more about doula services, all the way up through my postpartum season, she was an invaluable resource and encouragement. Not only was she deeply knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions, but she also brought an immensely calming presence when our birth plan went out the window due to hypertension. She made our hospital birth feel so safe, and even came to visit us at our home in the weeks following to help us with latching issues. I cannot recommend her enough!"

Brandy Lizardo
I first became interested in birth when I was 12 years old and watched my younger brother being born. It was a moment that stayed with me and eventually led me to birth work years later. As a mother of six and now a grammy of four, I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful and life-changing the seasons of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be. Those experiences, along with my faith, have shaped the way I support families today.

My goal is simply to help families feel more confident and cared for as they move through this important time in their lives.

Kind words:
"Brandy was absolutely amazing as our doula. She helped us through our pregnancy and through a difficult delivery and postpartum period. I truly don’t know what I would have done if she wasn’t there. She provided us with knowledge and confidence going into labor and delivery. We are so glad we had her on our team. She helped communicate to our family what was going on so my husband and I could focus on delivery. She is worth her weight in gold and we will 100% use her again!"
